Wagenborg Stevedoring, Eemshaven at
1601 where she will remain before commencing sea trials shortly.
"The Pont-Aven's transfer voyage was made possible with the help of
the Ems barrier. This has been closed for some time to allow the
river to swell. The trip had to be done in on voyage as the the
river had to be closed to other traffic.
Despite the stormy conditions the Pont-Aven made an extremely
impressive and imposing sight as she sailed down the river. A small
crowd lined the banks, many having been put off by the bad weather.
She passed the barrier 1 hours ahead of schedule. The tugs
'Bremerhaven' & 'Radbod' guided her through to the Ems before
leaving her, allowing the final few miles to be sailed alone.
The Pont-Aven looked an impressive ship and its only the Brittany
Ferries logo which shows he isn't a cruise ship. She will certainly
be very popular with her passengers."
