The Pont-Aven set sail on her maiden voyage to Santander on the 24th March with the 1600 departure as scheduled. Crowds lined Plymouth Hoe eager to be a part of this historic moment for both the port of Plymouth and Brittany Ferries. She arrived into Santander at 1100 on Thursday becoming the largest ferry to arrive at the Spanish port. The Pont-Aven is here!

Pont-Aven sailed into Cork for her maiden visit on the 3rd April 2004. There was a palatable air of excitement in the town with families out to see their new ship. A local pope band and an onboard Breton band played as she arrived whilst the large crowd watched her sail elegantly into the harbour before finally berthing at 1020.

She remained in the port whilst functions were held onboard for invited guests to mark her first arrival into the Irish port. The Pont-Aven then set sail for Roscoff later that evening.
