The countdown to the Pont-Aven's entry into service has eagerly begun and in the final preceding days a number of functions will be held onboard to celebrate her arrival. The vessel will remain berthed in Roscoff unless otherwise stated below, moving to anchorage to allow the Duc de Normandie & Val de Loire to berth.

The ships car deck has been 'converted' into 2 restaurants, 'les Amiets' and 'le St Anne' where over 2100 guests from SICA will be accommodated.


Thursday 18th March:
General Assembly onboard plus lunch, gangway trials. Opening of 'le Fastnet' bar.

Friday 18th March:
Crew joining. Helicopter photo shoot.

Saturday 20th March:
Onboard reception for SICA representatives, lunch for 2100! French press onboard. Opening of boutique 'Monts et Merveilles'.

Sunday 21st March:
Restoration of the car deck! Final technical checks.

Monday 22nd March:
Guest lunch and tours. Depart 2200 for Plymouth.
