On the 24th March Brittany Ferries new flagship, the Pont-Aven, entered service between Plymouth and Santander - the largest and fastest ferry to Spain!

This magnificent new vessel sets new standards for ferries operating out of Northern Europe, and as well as becoming the largest vessel in the Brittany Ferries fleet, she is also the largest ferry operating on the South coast of England.

Her impressive cruising speed of 27 knots allows her to reduce the sailing time between the UK and Spain from 24 hours to only 18, virtually half the time competitors take. Sailing times between Plymouth, Roscoff and Cork will also be dramatically reduced.

The Pont-Aven offers facilities, which up until now have only been found on cruise ships including an open deck swimming pool with retractable glass terrace doors, wrap around promenade and a five deck high atrium with panoramic lifts. The usual Brittany Ferries facilities are also be available including a choice of restaurants, bars, shopping malls, cabins and cinemas.
